＜目次＞2月8日、9日の日程で、ソフトバンクグループによる「Pepper World 2017」が開催された。2014年6月に発表されたPepperは、2015年6月の一般販売開始を経て、2015年10月から「Pepper for Biz」というパッケージで、主に法人向けに展開されている。導入企業は約2,000社に及んでいるという。8日の基調講演では、案内・受付などのサービス、接客・販売などのセールス、広告・CRMなどのPRの3分野に分けて、活用の現状が代表5社から実際の事例が紹介された。サービスでは回転寿司のはま寿司、セールスではソフトバンクショップ、そしてPRがB-Rサーティワンアイスクリーム、徳洲会、ヤマダ電機だ。オーダーをタッチパネルで受け、キッチン内でも寿司ロボットがシャリを握り、回転コンベアで寿司を運んでいる回転寿司業界は、外食の中では装置産業的な位置付けが濃い業態だ。そこでさらに受付もロボットに任せようというわけだ。普段はレジと受付を一人が担当している。だからレジに人が並んでしまうと受付が滞る。だが受付専用のPepperがいれば、レジに人が並んでいるあいだでも、とりあえず受付を進めることができるし、多少の非日常エンタメも提供できる。今後は、今は制限しているPepper本来のコミュニケーション能力も徐々に開放し、プロモーションのほか、顧客管理にも使っていきたいとのことだった。はま寿司で受付案内を行うPepper連載一覧▲ Close ▼ All display
ソフトバンク仙台六丁の目店での活用事例は、商品認知サポートにPepperを用いているというもの。最初は「客寄せパンダ」として使っていたが、商品告知に使うようにしたら、プリペイドカードであるソフトバンクカードの成約率が2.1倍になったという。他にも「スマートLogin」というサービスの売り込みでも効果があったとのこと。特に人間とPepperがタッグを組んで、まずPepperでフロントで興味を惹かせて商品告知を行い、そのあとを人間のクルーが引き継いで説明する、2段階ステップを意識すると、うまくいったとのことだった。複雑な商品の紹介だと難しいが、ある程度簡単で、何よりも「知ってもらう」ことが優先される商品ならば、Pepperの活用が意義があるという。人とロボットとではコミュニケーションのハードルや、レンジが異なる。人間の店員がクドクドと商品説明を始めると客は逃げていってしまうが、Pepperがペラペラと喋っているだけなら警戒はしない。興味がある情報であれば耳を傾ける。その効果を利用して商品告知を行って、複雑な実際の説明は人が引き継ぐというわけだ。サーティワンアイスクリームでは、ソフトバンクユーザー向けのキャンペーン時にPepperを活用したという。2016年11月に行われたソフトバンクユーザー対象のキャンペーンで、金曜日にスマホでクーポン画面を見せるとタダでアイスがもらえるということで大いに話題になった。当然、店舗には人が押し寄せる。そのときに、顧客に事前に済ませておいてもらいたいスマホ操作をPepperが告知するという使い方だ。大まかな説明をPepperが喋っておくことで、事前設定を済ませてくれる顧客が増え、それなりに手間が減ったとのことだった。このほか、キャンペーン告知に用いたところ、アイスクリームケーキをより多く（前年比103.7％）売ることができたとのこと。また、クーポンをPepperを使って配布したら、人からもらうよりもロボット相手のほうがもらいやすいという声があった。人相手だと気恥ずかしかったりするが、ロボット相手だとそれがないというわけだ。たとえ電話番号など個人情報を入力する必要があっても、である。33日間の実施で1670件の顧客リストを獲得できたという。これも前述のソフトバンクショップの事例と同じで、人とロボットとでは、狙うべきゾーンが異なるという事例だ。沖縄徳洲会湘南厚木病院からは、病院内にPepperをおいてみた事例が紹介された。施設案内をさせたりプレゼンをやらせたりと色々使ってみたあと、いまでは疾患啓発に使っているという。対象は潜在的な患者が多い睡眠時無呼吸症候群。Pepperが6つの質問でヒアリングをし、リスク結果をプリントアウトする。もちろん必要であれば診察を促す。そうすると予約外来が増えたとのことだ。利用者からは「ロボットだと人に説教されない。気兼ねなく気楽に病気をチェックする入り口になっている」といった声があり、また本来のターゲットである30-60代の男性の利用者を増やすことができた。満足度は73％。今後、他の疾患啓発にも使っていきたいとのことだった。【次ページ】医療や介護、小売などでの活用はハードルが高い理由Recommended article
