How much do you want your robot to be "real"?

 ロボットにどれほど「リアル」を求めますか?

Is the goal of robot design a real human being? The other day, I published an article about "Ameca," a robot with an insanely rich facial expression and full of humanity. Frowning, breathing, blinking, the appearance is very real. So, when I was watching it, I was wondering how real the robot is required to be. What is your task?

First of all, I think whether or not realism is necessary depends on what the robot is used for. For example, a small drone robot that is expected to play an active role in disasters and infrastructure maintenance, and a floor cleaning rumba that everyone loves, but depending on the task, a non-human shape may be more suitable. But what about Assistant Robo, whose tasks are more common? A guide robot-like guy who supports you at airports and malls. Do you need a rich facial expression similar to humans, or more specifically, a human-like face in the first place? It seems that there are many people who want humanity from robots. There is a story about recruiting robot face models. I'm talking about selling the right to use the face for Assistant Robo, but this means that you want Assistant Robo to be real. Research on bringing facial expressions and movements to humans is noble, and while I think that technology is cutting-edge and wonderful, in my personal opinion as a futuristic person, it looks like a adorable character, although it is an unknown creature to robots. I want you to stay. A character who can communicate. The ideal companion to the magical girl. Rather than a realistic and subtle change in facial expression, a charming and exaggerated facial expression is better. When you are in trouble, your eyes will be batten and your tongue will come out. When I think about the reason why I like character-like robots, I'm afraid of things that are human-shaped even though they are not simply humans. Even though it's a real robot, I'm afraid that something is awkward. Then, isn't it scary if all the movements, thoughts, and textures of the robot become real? If humans and robots are indistinguishable, they may not be scared at all. However, the human rights of robots, the society where humans and robots are indistinguishable, and science fiction are too scary. In other words, I'm asking robots to be character-like because of the human-like ego that I'm worried that it's not only humans that have the shape of humans. That's why I think, when is it time to seek a realistic robot at almost human level? Robo, which does work that humans cannot do, is better for task-specific type. Robots that assist humans may be supporters such as hips and knees, or corset types. The world of art does not have to be humanoid, as the assistant-like robots are characters. When it comes to "her / one girlfriend in the world", I think that the fact that there is no reality is the reason why my feelings swelled (I can swell my imagination as I like), so it doesn't have to be a physical robot. How realistic do you want your robot to be? When do you want to use a realistic humanoid robot? As a character sect for Robo, I simply care about the opinions of other people. Because if Doraemon was a humanoid, I wouldn't have been loved for such a long time ...
