Recently, the company has started developing and selling a germicidal lamp-equipped robot "SR-UVC" model C that autonomously travels by detecting its own position and travel path by the sensor of the robot body with just one click of a dedicated tablet.
The robot irradiates UV-C 254 nm wavelength ultraviolet rays in the 360-degree direction and on the floor surface to perform sterilization work. Autonomous driving model C is newly equipped with obstacle detection by laser sensor, space obstacle detection by 3D camera, stable driving vibration absorption suspension, and the size is 40 cm in length, 50 cm in width, 1 meter in height 68 It weighs 55 kilograms and is almost the same size as the conventional remote control method. In addition, it is said that it has secured safety such as an AI human figure detection function that immediately stops irradiation when a person is detected.
In this development, not only medical equipment but also ceilings, walls, floors, linens and curtains that are out of reach can be irradiated, so in the interview survey of the introductory hospital, the time for the in-hospital staff to sterilize is reduced by about 70%. The simulation results show that the annual labor cost is reduced by about 5 million yen for 500 beds and about 10 million yen for 1000 beds.
The robot will reduce the risk of infection and the psychological burden on medical staff and in-hospital cleaning staff.
