A photo book contest "Photoback Award 2021" with the theme of "Soba, Happiness" will be held!

This contest was born from the desire to collect all the precious memories and irreplaceable memories that we want to keep for posterity at once, and to deliver many wonderful episodes to as many people as possible.

Photobook Contest "Photoback Award 2021" Application starts from April 14th

The theme of this year's "Photoback Award" is "Soba, Happiness". With the Korona-ka, various changes are occurring in lifestyles and awareness of lifestyles, and I think that each and every one of us has more opportunities to think about "happiness." Therefore, I would like you to look back on your "happiness" from the casual "happiness" of everyday life to the "happiness" that you feel at a special moment. With that in mind, we have set this year's theme. We are looking for a fascinating happy story that is a collection of important thoughts that you want to keep for a long time.

Theme details

In addition, the contest will be judged by inviting a gorgeous judge who has a deep knowledge of photographs and texts, and the Grand Prix, Jury Prize, and Special Award will be selected from all the nominated works. All contest participants will be presented with a participation prize, and Grand Prix winners will be presented with a gift certificate worth 100,000 yen as a supplementary prize, as well as luxury prizes such as the Jury Prize and special prizes.

・ Masashi Asada

photographer. While attending his vocational school, he started taking family photos including himself and won the 34th Kimura Ihei Photo Award for "Asada Family" (Akakasha). In December 2014, he published "The Power of Album" (co-authored by Satoshi Fujimoto / Akakasha), which covered the scene of photo washing in the Great East Japan Earthquake.

In 2020, the movie "The Asadas!" Based on his two books was released in Toho all over Japan.

・ Minori Kai

Writer. She writes in magazines and books on travel and walks, sweets, local bread, souvenirs, classic hotels, miscellaneous goods and living. Her books are over 40. She also gives lectures.

Born in 1982. She has a wide range of activities including models, actresses and radio personalities. Her hobbies are cooking and marathon. Instagram that introduces her dishes and containers as "# Miyare Gohan" is popular. In her hobby marathon, she has a record of completing the Yokohama Marathon 2016 in 3 hours and 41 minutes. Her book "Miyako Takayama's Gastronomy" (published by Futabasha) series 1 to 4 are also on sale.
