In hospitals, air quality is very important in critical areas such as operating rooms and ICUs.
Airborne particles contain pathogenic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores, which are environmental contaminants that cause all healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). This is dealt with by filtering airborne particles with a HEPA filter or by cleaning the air with a polluted air purifier Genano. ■ Test result report
In October 2020, we conducted an environmental test using Genano, a polluted air purification device, at a domestic university hospital.
"Cleanliness recovery test" This is a test to see how much the number of airborne particles in the room can be reduced in time. In this test, in a laboratory (about ISO class 7 in a HEPA air-conditioned environment), cleanness recovery was achieved in 5 minutes (about ISO class 5) with the HEPA air conditioning stopped (about ISO class 9). And ISOclass1 in 26 minutes. Furthermore, it was recorded that the particle number was reduced to 0.08 μm at 60 minutes. Captures particles even smaller than the 0.3 μm particle collection limit of HEPA filters without using HEPA air conditioning. Since SARS-CoV2 is 0.1 μm in size, it has been confirmed at domestic university hospitals that it can reliably capture and inactivate airborne viruses.
