Aiming for "Life as a Service" for home and living, Sharp et al.
Hitachi Capital, Asahi Kasei Homes, and Sharp have signed a demonstration collaboration implementation contract with the aim of building a "Life as a Service" model that includes various services related to living. Utilizing IoT and AI, we will start a IoT demonstration experiment of homes from April with the aim of providing total services for living according to the life stage of each generation by subscription (flat rate system).
In the demonstration experiment, as STEP 1, we installed IoT devices in the company housing and provided subscription services of partner companies. We aim to build a new sound-cycle service model that suits the changing homes and lifestyles of singles, DEWKs (couples raising children by working together), seniors, etc. as their life stages progress.
Specifically, the period is six months or one year from April, and the participants are 10 single employees of the company recruited by Hitachi Capital. The residential building is the rental housing "Hebel Maison" (the floor plan is 1K, 1DK, 1LDK).
Compatible devices include infrared remote controls, smart locks, body composition monitors, human sensor, air purifiers, etc. In addition to Sharp, subsidiaries AIoT Cloud and SHARP COCOROLIFE, Hitachi, OMRON HEALTHCARE, MTI, KDDI and others cooperate. Services include meals, home delivery, sleep support / sleep-linked services, car sharing, etc.
The data to be acquired is living data by residents (meals, cars, sleep, etc.).

In STEP 1, participants are limited to singles and rental housing is set as the stage for demonstration in order to grasp living information and needs for each generation and age. We will analyze the living data acquired by each company in collaboration, such as the service usage status of residents, using AI technology, and expand the service menu according to the attributes of the single person group. In addition, we will provide tools for residents to visualize information related to their daily lives such as health, and realize the creation of service packages for singles suitable for companies promoting work style reforms.
In the latter half of 2020, as STEP 2, the target of consumers will be expanded to DEWKs households and senior households, and the housing will be expanded to detached houses. We will verify the total service of living according to changes in lifestyle. In addition, we will not only link data and services in Jenaka (housing), but also link with distribution and transportation infrastructure in Matinaka (entire city).
